Dear Gallup Hill Families,
It is an honor to introduce myself as the new principal of Gallup Hill School and to join this amazing school community. I hope you are finding time to relax and enjoy the summer. So far my summer has been amazing. I have been spending my days at Gallup Hill preparing for our new school year together. I can assure you that I am committed to building a positive school climate and culture while helping students
achieve academic success, and strive to always be responsible citizens in the GHS community.
I come to Gallup Hill with extensive experience in elementary education, including working as an interventionist and a classroom teacher in kindergarten, first, and third grades for over 19 years. I also have a strong background in child development and social-emotional learning. I believe in always doing what is best for kids by meeting their individual needs.
Outside of school, my favorite thing to do is to spend time with my family. My husband Brian and I have two daughters, Katelyn and Nicole. Katelyn is heading into her first year of dental school at Tufts University and Nicole is going into her senior year at Emmanuel College in Boston. In addition to the girls, I have two dogs, Mia and Luna who make me smile daily.
I will work closely with the administration, staff, and families to learn more about the school and community to ensure a smooth transition. I plan to embrace the positive traditions and practices that are already in place at Gallup Hill School while working diligently to ensure success in the future.
I am delighted to serve as the new principal of Gallup Hill School and look forward to meeting our children, teachers, parents, and community members. My door is always open and I welcome your input and support. Stay tuned for more information regarding meet and greets.
All are invited to an Open Library Night this Wednesday, July 19th from 4:30-6:30. Stop in, pick out a book, see some friends, and listen to a few stories.
I am excited about all that we will accomplish together for our children and look forward to meeting everyone.
Sincerely,
Lisa Hunter
Principal
